【Spouse or Child of Permanent Resident】

This is a a VISA(status of residence) for the spouses of permanent residents or those born as the children of permanent residents in Japan and who have continued to reside in Japan.This VISA(status of residence) has no restrictions on employment, so the person can work freely if the business is legal. If the person is a spouse, divorced or died from the married Permanent Resident , the person will no longer be a spouse of Permanent Resident . so if the person wishs to stay in Japan after that, the person should consider changing to another VISA(status of residence).

【Long Term Resident】

This is a a VISA(status of residence) for those who are authorized to reside in Japan with a period of stay designated by the Minister of Justice in consideration of special circumstances.This includes a variety of foreigners, including Japanese III and their spouses, foreigners who divorced or died from the Japanese, and foreigners who live in Japan to raise children born between the Japanese and the foreigner. There are foreigners with special reasons.
